This week for Inquiry, I have created a DLO about Jack Albert. He was in the Maori Battalion, World War 1. I have drawn this medal by using the tools in google draw. This DLO also shows a picture of Jack Albert. This medal is for Jack Albert. While doing some researching I have learnt some facts about him. I enjoyed doing this DLO about Jack Albert.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Ms Kirkpatrick and Mrs Anderson.

Maori Battalion Timeline
For Inquiry, Miki, Julian, Nevaeh and I worked together as a group to complete the Maori Battalion Timeline DLO. This shows the timeline of the Maori Battalion's time on the battle field. We all show a lot of respect to the people who have fought for our king and country. The white skin and the dark skin people were separated. They also have different jobs the British got the better jobs and the Maoris got the worst and least paying jobs after the war. In the battlefield they worked as a team and became friends. Then went their separate ways.

Maori - Whurutu
For Maori, today I created a poster that shows a Maori names of fruits. While doing this activity I learnt some of the fruit names in Maori. Some of them sounds the same in Maori. The task was to just use the Maori name so we can understand by looking at the photos.
Read-Theory Analysis
I have created this DLO to show my improvement of read theory. I have worked hard on reaching to level seven. I have enjoyed doing read theory. This year I have improved a lot. I was at grade one at the beginning and now I am at grade seven. I will work harder to reach level nine to ten.

Wovles
This week was Book Week Mrs Anderson gave us a task. First we read one of Emily Gravett's books called
Wolves. Our class enjoyed the book. After reading the book we made a DLO based on wolves. We were to make
a table: One side which had what we think about wolves and the other side saying what is true about wolves.
For example if the myth was Wolves and dogs are related we were to search up if it was true or not and tell why.
I really had a fun time doing this.

MeerKats
Today the teacher read to us a book written and illustrated by Emily Gravett. The book was about MeerKats and the life that they live. By listening to the story we took information from there and made a blog post about MeerKats. We have learnt a lot about MeerKats including where they live and what they like to eat. They like to eat snakes and eggs, but they prefer scorpions because their nice and crunchy. They are cute and friendly animals that almost nobody know about. The next blog post is going to be about wolves and we're going to do the same thing that we did with this blog post, listening to the story and creating a blog post about them.
