For Inquiry, Miki, Julian, Nevaeh and I worked together as a group to complete the Maori Battalion Timeline DLO. This shows the timeline of the Maori Battalion's time on the battle field. We all show a lot of respect to the people who have fought for our king and country. The white skin and the dark skin people were separated. They also have different jobs the British got the better jobs and the Maoris got the worst and least paying jobs after the war. In the battlefield they worked as a team and became friends. Then went their separate ways.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Ms Kirkpatrick and Mrs Anderson.

Peace
This term for Inquiry we were learning about Peace. The reasons behind it is simple. We were learning about this to as an commemoration all the soldier that fought in the World War 1 and 2. Did you know that it has been 100 years since World War 1 ended. I learnt that peace symbols were designed in 1958 by the British artist and designer Gerald Holtom. We think peace is important words to have because 'Peace is when there is freedom from war, argument and live together without violence. Also respect values and get a long together with each other'. For this activity I worked with Miki and Aung Naing

Bridge Testing
Today after lunch Mr Johnston came to our class to test our bridges. Our bridge was really stable and it looks astonishing . Things that we did great was we used a lot of triangles we used for our bridge and the PVA glue we used was very strong. Things that we didn't do well was not supporting the sides of the bridge to make it stronger. I learnt that we need to make sure that we add more sticks on top to support the sides

Building A Bridge
Today for Inquiry we were building a bridge. Our group had collaborated to find out on what bridge are we going to make with glue and toothpicks. We manege to complete the main part of our bridge which are the deck and the sides. Our challenge was to make the strongest bridge and making sure it was wide enough that can fit objects. We also made sure that it can carry heavy objects and the measurements are right and we made sure that we counted the toothpicks correctly because each toothpicks are worth 25 cents. The most challenging thing was making the toothpicks touch each other and the same length. The people that are in my group are Miki, Jaydon, Jona, Reneir. We had fun doing this activity. Panmure Bridge Time Line
This term for Inquiry we have been learning about the different types of structures. Miki and I worked collaboratively to complete this shared DLO. We created this DLO to explain the timeline of Panmure Bridge. On this timeline myself and Josh drew different types of objects that were used back in the days like: television, newspapers, and phones. Myself and Josh decided to create a google slide to present our learning on. To create this DLO we also used our researching skills to find interesting information. I learnt that the first Panmure Bridge was not a bridge, but it was a punt.

This Is Why We Need a Skeletal System
Today for inquiry we created a Gif about the skeletal systems. We used EzGif to to create this Gif. We used Play-Doh and toothpick to create a human figure to show you what it looks like without bones and with bones. The toothpick stands for the "skeleton" on the human clay. We learnt that there are 300 bones for new born and 206 for adults. The reason why we created this Gif was to show you why we need the skeletal system and how important they are.

Where Is PyeongChang?
I created this DLO that shows how far away PyeongChang is from Auckland. I now know PyeongChang is in South Korea. South Korea is a country near the Philippines, which is where I come from. One fact I found really interesting is that Baseball and Football are popular sports in South Korea.
