This week for maths with Mr Johnston, we made a google presentation about M&M's. The people that is in our group are Dallas, Jericho, Christopher, and Savelina worked collaboratively to complete the task. We first predict on how many m&m colors are in a small packet. We then made a bar graph and a pie graph to show what is the most color in our groups packet and green was the popular color in our packet.  The bar graph shows the percentage , of how much of the yellow M&M's we had. We then used our smart searching skills to find out about the history of the M&M's, how are M&M's and facts. The most intersecting fact that we had read was that red M&M's disappeared in a decade. We then compared Mars Co and M&M's. The closes one was red and orange. We had fun doing this activity with Mr Johnston.

Kiwi Can - Reflection

Today for kiwi can we learnt a new value called Accountability and our topic is integrity. Accountability is taking responsibility for our own actions. At school we show this by going to school on time for tech and for our learning, setting yourself for success by getting your Chromebook charged ready for learning. It also means being an Agent Of Change. This means that we achieve our goals by leading ourselves up for success. We show Accountability at school by bringing our P.E gear for sports, and owning up. Our challenge for Kiwi Can this week was green light. If Miss Lilly said red light, you would need to jump on to your partners back, If Miss Lilly says green you will switch with your partner, If Miss Lilly says yellow light you will need to sit on your partners laps and If Miss Lilly says fruit salad you will need to power walk around the circle and go back to your partner. I had a great time in kiwi can this week, and I hope that next week will be even better.

Balled Poem - Charlotte Anne

This week LS2 focused on a ballad poem which was based on a pioneer name Charlotte Anne. Charlotte Anne wasn't like other women. She wore jeans that means would wear and Hobnail boots that were size 6. She worked as a bullocky (bullock driver) with other men and she broke down social barriers and wasn't ashamed of being herself and what she did. She took a lot of risk in her life and told herself that women are just capable as men. During reading this poem we learnt a few words such as Catamaran, Marrow, Yarning, Caressed. The word I found interesting was caressed which means to stroke someone or something gently. We didn't just research about Charlotte Anne but also the author of the poem. His name was John Thomas Diamond (short for John.T Diamond). We wrote facts about him and I learnt that he was a New Zealand Author and sadly passed away in 2001. I have worked collaboratively with Josh, Jona, Joshua and Jericho to complete this DLO
